Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This page describes how Wildpath Journal ("we", "us", "our") handles information from visitors to this website. This page is maintained by Wildpath Journal as customer-facing content and is not a legal certification.

Information we collect

Wildpath Journal is a static editorial website. We do not require registration, we do not operate user accounts, and we do not collect personal information through forms on this site. If you email us via the address listed on the contact page, we receive your email address and the content of your message as an ordinary email.

Server logs

Our hosting provider may retain standard server logs, including IP addresses, user agents, and request paths, for the purpose of operating and securing the service. We do not use these logs to build advertising profiles or to identify individual visitors. Server logs are typically retained for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted.

Cookies and analytics

We do not set advertising cookies. Basic technical cookies may be used by our hosting provider to keep the site functioning. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this page to describe them.

Advertising and Google personalized ads

We may display advertisements provided by Google through its advertising services. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. This is known as personalized advertising.

You can opt out of Google's personalized advertising by visiting Google My Ad Center. For more information about how Google uses data from partner sites, please review Google's Partner Sites policy.

Third-party services

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process request data as part of its CDN and security services. Some articles include images or embeds served from third-party services (for example, image hosts). Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies when visiting their services.

Data retention

We do not maintain databases of personal information. Server logs retained by our hosting provider are typically deleted within 90 days. Email correspondence you send us is retained only as long as necessary to address your inquiry and will be deleted upon your request.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal information, we generally have no personal data to provide, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and would like your correspondence deleted from our inbox, please contact us and we will comply promptly.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you are a resident of California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. Because we do not collect personal information beyond ordinary email correspondence, these rights are generally already satisfied. For any requests, please contact us at the email address listed on our contact page.

Do Not Track signals

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. Because there is no industry-standard response to DNT signals, our site does not currently alter its behavior upon receiving such a signal. However, as noted above, we do not build advertising profiles or track individual visitors.

Children's privacy

Wildpath Journal is a general-audience website. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

Contact

If you have any questions or concerns about this privacy policy, please contact us at the email address listed on our contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page along with the updated date. Your continued use of the site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
