Wildpath Journal is an independent English-language magazine covering outdoor camping for readers around the world. We publish news, practical guides, gear reviews, campsite recommendations, outdoor science explainers and photo essays — all focused on the experience of sleeping outside.

What we cover

Our coverage is deliberately narrow. We write about tents, sleeping bags, stoves, campgrounds, backcountry permits, weather, wildlife and the everyday craft of camping. We do not cover politics, finance, medical advice or anything outside our stated remit.

How we work

Every article is written and edited by outdoor writers with real field experience. We test gear on real trips, walk the trails we describe and photograph the campsites we recommend. When we cite third-party information — a fire restriction, a permit rule, an official forecast — we link readers to the primary source and encourage them to re-verify before their own trip.

What we are not

We do not publish sponsored content, affiliate links or paid reviews. We do not offer legal, medical or financial advice. Our reviews reflect the honest opinions of the reviewer at the time of publication, not the interests of a manufacturer or retailer.
